Pakistani media and competition on panama case coverage

As soon as the case of panama started in the court,  all the channels started their race of ratings.
No channel in pakistan wanted to be left behind but the two main channels ARY and Geo news were considered to be tilted on the either side.
ARY in favour of PTI and Geo in favour of PMLN.
But presence of some neutral anchors like shahzeb khanzada changed the entire  pace of the coverage.
Moreover,  anchors like hassan nisar on geo tv who bluntly speak against this system of democracy and the present govt of PMLN that came into power after elections 2013.
Both the channels,  apparently put forward the opinions that are neutral but the boycott of govt leaders of ARY because of its tilted and blunt coverage poses a big question mark on the media as well as the govt.
Also,  misbehave of PTI with geo news also appeared in rumors.
However,  no channel can be considered as the popular one if its biased and tilted towards single party.
Both ARY and Geo News are striving hard to come back to the neutral position.
The war between the channel is still ongoing.

This coverage is also considered biased sometimes. the following article very well explains the same trend in the international media. Pakistan: blindfolded by religion

The issue doesn't lie in the fact of introducing Islamic values rather it lies in demeaning the actual essence of Islam and politicising the religion for personal ends 23 Shares Ayesha Zahid JULY 29, 2018 Jinnah told us to follow the principles of unity, faith and discipline — but Pakistan prioritises faith above else. Where does the word Islam fit into the Islamic Republic of Pakistan? Why do we feel the need to debate this concept all over again? Why does the word ‘Islamic’ needs to be even discussed? The answer lies in the Articles 295, 62 and 63 of the Constitution. The answer lies in Zia’s regime. The answer lies in former Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)’s minister Naseer Ullah Babar calling the Taliban “our children”, and it lies in the Sharia Bill — also known as the 15th Amendment which allowed Nawaz Sharif to declare himself Amir-ul-Momineen. In fact, the answer lies in all the affairs of the state where Islam had been, and has been ...

Faith Dealers and Fake Healers

The emerging trend of fake spiritual healers in the country As she walks towards the graveyard, crushing her dignity under her feet, she looks at the surroundings with despair. With a throbbing heart and perspiration on her forehead, she fights with her veil. She could have walked easily if she did not intend to hide from the surroundings at the same time, a bright student and a devoted working woman. She was a girl with thousands of ambitions. The only ‘sin’ she committed was of being unmarried in the society that still finds a 25 years old girl a burden. She is being taken to a pir baba (saint) that will end up all the black magic and curse that has become an obstacle in her marriage. Afterwards the humiliating story of getting an offer to commit a sin if she is to get married is something that this society is still not willing to listen as they find it shameful. Ironically, where mention of such things is embarrassing to them, they seem to be very less concerned of such happen...
